Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-tampering screws or removing the fixings is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road network regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it's still recommended to install them in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. If issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure the item arrives with the appropriate approvals, which must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Side mounting. No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the available tutorials and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without a license plate holder or other parts that might interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair by returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
