Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on race tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions, and each silencer carries the approval code. If you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is reliable and offers items suitable for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Side mounting. No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in races; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and without license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with right to repair returned to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
