Are db killers and removable catalytic converters allowed? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend any activity, to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Side mounting. No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without torch and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the racing version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the time of purchase, with repair rights via return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
