Are db killers and removable catalytic converters allowed? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or tampering with the anti-theft screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road legislation.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products at a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it's recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers items suitable for your road network.
Is it limited to 95dB for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
Side mounting. No structural modification of the bike is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or to check out visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the altered gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, repair rights are available but with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to re-mount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
