Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road regulations and for annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend work, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that may conflict with the different angle of gas due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, repair rights are with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one for repair; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
