Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as the installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to a loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
