Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper bolts or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of any issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, flashlights, license plate holder, or other parts that might interfere with the exhaust angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of warranty for the product, and any claims will be rejected from the time of purchase, with the right to repair by returning it to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
