Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with traffic regulations on public road networks.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to complete the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as it would be on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and without number plate holder or other parts that could conflict with the different angle of the gas due to converting to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
