Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: This item is noise approved; customers must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is needed in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to pass the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install them in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activities, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not to tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected.
From the date of purchase, the right to repair applies with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
