Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-tampering screws, or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still advisable to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If you encounter any issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the necessary approvals, which must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is reliable and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without saddlebags, without flashlights, and without license plate holders or other parts that could interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair and return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
