Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only permitted for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are needed for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without luggage, without a torch, and without a number plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returning to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
