Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or anti-tamper screws or removing the fittings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and pause activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without any bags, flashlight, license plate holder, or any other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair, returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
