Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the bracket is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on public roads is not compliant with traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. This begins from the purchase time, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must accept to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
