Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or guidance from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the bike are required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the changed gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any request for warranty will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with repair rights with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot supply a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
