Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws, or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only permissible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are necessary for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Misusing this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty and any request for refund will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to re-mount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
