Removable db killers? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only allowed for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without saddlebag, without flashlight and without a license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to the race version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor is at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
