Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: This item is approved for noise regulations; the customer must first verify whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
This is designed to be installed in a high-level position. No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or refer to tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without saddlebags, flashlight, license plate holder or other parts that conflict with the different angle of the gas due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. This starts from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
