Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws, or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install them in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions. Each silencer bears the approval code. If any problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without panniers, flashlights, number plate holder, or other parts that could interfere with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair, reverting to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
