Removable db killers? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or accessible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlights, and without license plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into the race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
