Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise. The customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the roadway and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed at a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on visible platforms and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and registration plate holder or other parts that conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. This starts from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must accept to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
