Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials and those on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and number plate holder or any other parts that could conflict with the altered gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with a right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
