Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives, this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: This item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Includes vertical Y pipe. No structural modification of the bike is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online or on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without cases, without flashlight, and no registration plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with repair rights to be sent to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
