Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; it is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in cases of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activities, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on visible platforms and on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a bag, without spotlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, there is the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer as a replacement for the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
