Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on public roads does not comply with road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as the installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without luggage, flashlight and number plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the throttle resulting from the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must accept to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
