Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bag, flashlight, number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the change to the race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
