Are dbkillers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for use in races; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a saddlebag, without a flashlight, and license plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following the transformation to the race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with repair rights at GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
