Db killers and removable catalytic converters? Altering the welds on the db killer and catalyst or the anti-tampering screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals, which must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your public road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch videos on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use on the track; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the gas due to the conversion to track version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
