Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products at a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the gas due to the transformation into the racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the point of purchase, with the right to repair and return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repairs.
