Are dbkillers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the dbkiller and the catalyst or the anti-tamper screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with the regulations for public road use.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as fitting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. Should you encounter problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals, which must also comply with local legislation. Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without storage, flashlight, or number plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
