Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for racing use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch available tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on track only, without a storage bag, without a flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of gas due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair, returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
