Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU directives; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not in line with public traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend work, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if it were on the track, without a bag, without a flashlight and without a license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle resulting from the modification to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. Starting from the purchase date, with the right to repair returning to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
