Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must verify in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided along with the mounting instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? Yes.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, flashlights, number plate holder, or other parts that could conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty. This starts from the time of purchase, with the right to repair through return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot supply a new silencer in place of the repaired one; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
