Are db killers removable? Altering the welds of the db killer or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on racetracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions, every silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the altered gas angle resulting from the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repairs.
