Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or the anti-tampering screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not in line with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without any luggage, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. This is effective from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
