Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only allowable for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You may use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, with no saddlebags, no flashlight, and no license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle following the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any guarantee request will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with repair rights returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must accept to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
