Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or anti-tampering screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with road traffic regulations on public roads.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in the case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Ensure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
