Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and catalyst or the anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on the tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If you encounter any problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you are buying online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network before purchasing.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
High mount position. No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different throttle angle due to the transformation into race version. Abusing this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. Starting from the purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
