Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-theft bolts or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products at a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided along with the installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bags, flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty. Starting from the purchase, with repair rights with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
