Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, it is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for your official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install them in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for locals and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing, removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and number plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
