Are dbkillers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or tamper-proof screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If you encounter issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you are buying online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your public road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the changed gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair, with return to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
