Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the fittings is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road legislation.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road legislation and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately ask for information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without spotlight, and license plate holder, or other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
