Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on the circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise-approved; the customer must verify in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products at a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without panniers, without flashlight and license plate holder, or any other parts that would interfere with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claims will be denied. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
