Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalytic converter is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use on the track; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without a license plate holder or any other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle resulting from the conversion to racing version. Misusing this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
