Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines, this is only allowed for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise homologated, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products at a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or check tutorials on visible platforms and YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as if on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
