Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road doesn't comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must first check whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed by a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. Should any problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike on the track only, with no bag, no flashlight, and no number plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any request for refunds will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repairs.
