Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to conduct the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on Youtube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any request for exchange will be rejected. From the moment of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repairs.
