Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks, the open version is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must first check if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with the road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still advisable to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to the race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
