Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with regulations for public road traffic.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without saddlebags, without a flashlight and license plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the modification to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. This is effective from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official dealer at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
