Are db killers removable? Changing the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on public roads does not comply with road traffic regulations.
CAUTION: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, however, it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is needed for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes on the responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any request for return will be denied. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
