Are the db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed at a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If any issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bag, without flashlight and without a number plate holder or other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any request for a refund will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
